FIT-DNA (Multi-target Stool DNA Test)

Like a FIT, a FIT-DNA test can be completed at home. To complete the test, you will be asked to collect an entire bowel movement and a smaller sample of your stool to send to a lab for testing. The FIT-DNA test can find blood or altered DNA in your stool, which can be a sign of cancer or polyps. If your results are abnormal, you will need to get a follow up colonoscopy. The test should be completed every three years.

If you do not have insurance, there may be an out-of-pocket cost for a FIT-DNA.
You can still complete a FIT or colonoscopy free of charge.
