What is colorectal cancer?
Colorectal cancer
Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States. Colorectal cancer usually starts with a growth in the inner lining of the colon or rectum, called a polyp. Over time these polyps can turn into cancer. In some cases, symptoms of colorectal cancer can include abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, or blood in the stool.
Colorectal cancer often has no signs or symptoms that you can see or feel. That’s why screening is so important.
Average risk people should start regular screening at the age of 45. Request your screening today.
*Your doctor may recommend that you get screened younger or more often if you are at higher risk for developing colorectal cancer
